The Burg is in the Historic Metals Building on 4th Street & there are three things we want you to know.

Our Chef

Chef Grayson creates our burgers out of nothing but fresh—never frozen!—Certified Angus Beef. And we don’t put any fillers, additives, or preservatives into our patties, either. Nothing but pure, Canadian beef. Chef puts the same care into the rest of his masterpieces—it’s only the best and freshest bison, turkey, chicken, pork,  salmon and vegan delights.

We love what we do.

Of course we put a lot of work into making perfect burgers—it’s our name. What you will also find out is that we put as much time, thought, and creativity into everything else we do, too. From the freshly punched fries and the gravy made from scratch (starting with veal bones that are roasted for one whole day, then boiled all the next—and that’s just to make the base!) to the crunchy, dilly pickles—it’s all made in-house with fresh, local ingredients and a lot of feeling. And we’re called a Burger and Bar for a reason. We also put forward a whole menu of signature cocktails—each with its own story, and punched up with delicious house-made ingredients.

The final thing we want you to know is that everybody is welcome at The Burg. This is a relaxed gathering place. A place where Chef and his friends can share what they love with you. A place to be social over colossal burgers and yummy cocktails. Whatever the event or the crowd, you’ll feel comfortable here. Bring your boss for a lunch meeting, in your shiny loafers and suits. Put on a cute dress and bring a date for a nice dinner. And come with your mom or your buddies, in your jeans and ten-year-old Folk Fest tee. You can even wear a beret if that’s your thing—we can dig it. The restaurant itself is open and bright with big windows, brick walls, and giant exposed beams that pay tribute to the heritage of this historic building. Extroverts (and Maritimers) will probably choose to sit at one of three enormous communal tables, while quiet types might prefer one of the more private booths. See? Everybody’s happy here.
